Project Sahayta is our current ongoing project where efforts have been made to provide primary education, i.e. up to class 5 to the children of Garbhanga. As a part of this project we have already renovated two school buildings and provided the children with a proper classroom environment.
From January 2020, with a handful of 7 spirited young minds in a small dilapidated shed, with no teacher, there now stands a proud school building of mortars and bricks. We have also employed two full time teachers to teach an encouraging population of 44 students, in a small hamlet of around 30 families. All of this was achieved by frequently traversing a 20 km stretch of inaccessible terrain, with dusty tracks which are frequently being washed away by heavy rains. So far, as a part of this Project, we have directly helped more than 50 children, indirectly touched the lives of around 200 other people. We have donated books, school bags, uniforms, stationery, sports items, etc. to the children. In this project, we aim to foster the existing school to work at a progressive pace in educating the children. We aim to expand further and help more children along the way in providing education and upholding the fundamental "Right to Education".
