  • Who are we?
    Zazba is registered as a trust by a group of six women who, in their 40s and 50s, decided to do their bit in making the world a better place for marginalized children deprived of education.
  • Why the word 'Zazba'?
    The word 'Zazba' denotes spirit and passion. It resonated with our motivation to do something passionately for the children. Hence, the name Zazba.
  • What is the significance of the logo?
    The Theme: Orange and Green Breakdown of the logo, it's meaning: Orange circle: Sun (signifies hope). Green plant with book mounted on it: Signifies growth via education. Paper airplane: Signifies childhood and an upward flight of hope (which is also the tagline). Theme of Zazba: Orange and Green which means Determination (fits in perfectly with the name of the NGO: Zazba, that determination to help others) and Growth.
  • Where is Zazba based?
    Zazba is based at Guwahati, Assam, India.
  • Is Zazba an NGO?
    Yes, it is a Non-Governmental Organization that operates solely on charitable donations. Its income comes from donations from our well-wishers, and all the Zazba Trustees contribute funds to the Zazba Trust from their personal accounts monthly.
  • How to be associated with Zazba?
    You can associate yourself with Zazba in any of the following ways: ● Donate in cash or kind. ● Become a member for a minimum period of 6 months by paying Rs 1000 per month. A member can contribute monthly, half - yearly or annually. ● Volunteer with Zazba for a particular event/drive of your choice. ● Students from class 8 onwards can intern with Zazba for a period of one month and above.
  • How is the donation utilized?
    Every penny is accounted for, and the account book of the Zazba Trust is professionally audited by a registered Chartered Accountant firm in India. All the money collected is used for the benefit of the children ONLY.
  • Do you accept donations in kind?
    We accept donations in kind, which can be anything you are willing to part with and can provide for the children and their families.
  • Do you take donations in cash?
    Yes. We encourage you to donate money electronically, through options like UPI, net banking, etc., as it aligns with our policy of complete transparency.
  • Do you get tax relief on your donations?
    Yes. Zazba has a valid 80G certificate since 10 March 2022 awarded by the Income Tax department of the Government of India which entails income tax rebate under relevant sections.
  • Do you collaborate with other NGOs/organization?
    We are a fledgling NGO and are looking for collaboration with other NGOs and charitable organizations who are passionate about children and their education.
  • How to meet the children?
    We would love to take you on an adventurous trip through the lush green Garbhanga forest to our school 'Natun Garbhanga' school. Kindly get in touch with us for our next date of visit.
  • Why should one intern at Zazba?
    The advantages of interning with us include: Collaborating with our dedicated team, who are eager to mentor you in NGO management. Engaging with underprivileged children and experiencing grassroots work in the village. Creating lasting memories with the joyful and appreciative young minds you help educate. Receiving a Certificate of Appreciation and a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) upon the successful completion of your internship.
  • Is the internship paid?
    No. We give a 'Certificate of Appreciation' to the interns working with us. Letter of Recommendation (LOR) will also be issued to deserving interns.
  • What is next for Zazba?
    We are looking forward to the successful implementation of two new projects: Project Unnati and Project Atma Vishwas. Project Unnati involves sponsoring each child's education from class 6 onwards. Project Atma Vishwas focuses on donating a bicycle to each child upon graduating from our school.
