About Us
Zazba, a registered Trust, acts as a catalyst for consequential change in the lives of underprivileged children and youth, adopting a holistic approach to development. We are a team of six women fueled by the passion ('Zazba') to volunteer and enrich the lives of society's underprivileged children, aiming to provide the best possible education and methodologies for shaping a brighter future. Our Commitment
We are deeply committed to helping children without access to formal education, aiming to boost their prospects for a dignified life. Our goal is to instill self-esteem and confidence in these children, dedicating ourselves to giving them a fair opportunity to realize their potential and contribute to the growth and development of society and the nation. We also strive to sensitize privileged children, youth, and citizens at large, promoting civic-driven change and engaging them as active partners in this transformation
Our Journey So Far
We embarked on this noble journey in January 2020, starting with donations of books, bags, complete uniforms, stationery, and toys to children. Observing the dilapidated condition of the school building and the fierce zeal and quest for learning among the children, we embraced the moral responsibility to guide their futures in the right direction.
We began by repairing the building and providing a monthly salary to a teacher from the same village. Despite challenges during the subsequent pandemic, we persevered with the school, witnessing its growth from 7 to 42 children. We organized the children into classes and implemented an organizational structure, complete with thorough documentation for each child. Currently, we have two teachers managing students from Class 1 to Class 5.
Timeline
Our Logo
Considerable thought went into our logo before finalizing it, as we wanted it to reflect our principles. We chose a yellow and green theme, as evident in our logo. The yellow circle symbolizes the sun, representing hope, while the young green plant with a book perfectly embodies our focus on primary education, signifying early growth fueled by education. These colors were selected for their specific meanings: yellow represents determination and courage, the 'Zazba' to make a difference in society, and green symbolizes growth.
